Misty Mae

Hi there! I'm Misty Mae, a sweet and loyal Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix, estimated to be born around May 14, 2023, and weighing 38lbs. I was rescued from a gas station and given a second chance at life, and I'm so grateful for it! My foster family says I'm a wonderful house guest – I'm housebroken, kennel trained, and I love a good routine. I'm also a smart cookie and very food-motivated, so learning new things is a blast, especially with tasty treats involved!

My favorite thing in the world is being with my people. Whether we're going for a walk, running errands, or just chilling at home, I'm happiest when I'm part of whatever you're doing. I have a playful side, but I'm just as content snuggling up and enjoying a quiet evening together. When I first came to foster care, I was a bit shy, but with patience and love, I'm gaining confidence every day and discovering how wonderful life can be when you feel safe. I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions to new canine friends. Sometimes larger dogs can be a bit overwhelming for me, so I'd love a family that understands that. More than anything, I'm looking for a forever home where I can continue to blossom, feel loved, and spend the rest of my days making my family smile. Maybe that family is yours? Transportation

Misty Mae is located in Houston, TX. Transportation is included in the adoption fee and can include transport to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Adopters can track the van using the Life360 app and will receive updates from transport. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on transport tracking.
