Ideal Home

Sandy is looking for a patient and understanding family who can give her the time she needs to adjust to her new surroundings and continue building her confidence. A secure, fenced yard is a must for her to explore safely. She does best with another dog in the home, as it helps her build confidence, so a home with at least one other dog is required. Because sudden movements can startle her, she would do best in a home with older, respectful children who can give her the space she needs to feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Sandy is fully crate trained and 100% potty trained, with no accidents in foster care. She walks beautifully on a leash and is non-reactive to distractions like squirrels and bunnies. She is also great on short car rides. While not highly treat-motivated, she can’t resist Colby Jack cheese! Sandy rarely barks and enjoys quiet affection, communicating when she wants attention with slow movements, chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages.
