Bella (#2)

Meet Bella!

Bella is a 6-year-old beagle mix who is as sweet as can be and loves to cuddle, but she also enjoys her independence and is perfectly happy to relax on her own. She previously lived with another dog and seems to be doing well as an only pet, though her family believes she would truly thrive as the sole dog in the household or with a similarly low-energy canine companion. Bella can be a bit anxious in new situations or when meeting new people and dogs, but with a little space and time, she warms up quickly! While she's content to lounge around most of the day, she does have occasional bursts of energy, and in true beagle fashion, she loves to keep the neighborhood informed about every passing squirrel, car, or shadow! Bella is pad-trained and not fully potty trained for outdoor elimination, and she has some ongoing urinary health issues, for which she has been on a special diet for the past couple of years. This smart girl is highly motivated by food and treats, and will perform tricks for them! Her absolute favorite pastime is to chew on bones, which can keep her happily occupied for hours.

Ideal Home

Bella would do best as an only dog or with a very low-energy canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Bella has some ongoing urinary health issues and has been on a special urinary diet for the last couple of years.

Training & Support

Bella is pad-trained but not fully potty trained for outdoor elimination. She is very food and treat motivated, which can be a great asset for training.
