Candace

Candace is a sweet female adult Chow Chow mix who was rescued from a difficult situation. When she first arrived, she was matted and fearful, struggling to walk and wanting to hide. With time, patience, and the loving care of her foster mom, Candace has blossomed into a confident and curious dog. She now enjoys trotting around the yard, exploring her surroundings, and stretching in the sun. Candace is learning what it means to feel safe, trust, and have a home.

Ideal Home

Candace would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can receive all the attention and quiet she deserves.

Ongoing Health

Candace is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment. This condition does not stop her from living her best life and embracing each day with enthusiasm.

Training & Support

Candace is not a fan of crates and dislikes fish oil. She is house-trained.
