Jager

Jager is an 8-year-old, 25-pound independent fellow who was rescued on his way to a kill shelter. He bonds with his person and is a good companion, but he prefers to observe from a distance and doesn't want to be petted much, even when he's near. The key to a happy relationship with Jager is to simply let him be. If he initiates interaction, great, but if you try to pet him without his invitation, he may snap. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves to run and play outside. He tolerates a crate and is housetrained. Jager has been waiting for his forever home for years and is currently in a boarding setting.

Ideal Home

Jager would do best in a home without small children, as they may want more interaction than he is comfortable with. He thrives with a person who understands and respects his need for personal space.

Jager is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Jager is housetrained. The most important guidance for Jager is to allow him to be near you without unsolicited petting or rubbing. Respecting his boundaries will be key to a successful and loving relationship.
