Athena, a 1-year-old Terrier mix, is a playful, curious, and affectionate young dog who absolutely loves to be involved in everything her people are doing. Found abandoned with her siblings, Athena has grown a lot in maturity but is still a very active pup who needs a home ready to meet her energy and enrichment needs. She has a fun-loving personality, complete with zoomies, and is eager to learn and mature beautifully with consistency, patience, and structure.
Ideal Home
Athena would thrive in an active home that can provide daily physical exercise and mental enrichment, appropriate chew toys, continued training and structure, social interaction, and companionship. She would do best with a family that understands puppy behavior and is committed to her ongoing development, while embracing her fun-loving spirit. A home without cats may be ideal, though a cat-savvy home with slow introductions and clear boundaries might work.
Ongoing Health
Athena is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. As a young dog, she is still working through normal puppy behaviors, including a chewing phase, and will need continued guidance and appropriate outlets for this.
Training & Support
Athena already knows sit, down, drop it, and come, showing impressive progress. She is smart and eager to learn with positive reinforcement. She is actively learning social boundaries with other dogs and is improving daily at reading cues.
