Koda

Koda is an adorable 4-year-old, 86lb Akita/Husky mix with two striking blue eyes! He's a wonderfully affectionate boy who forms deep bonds with his people. Koda's current living situation is the only reason he's looking for a new home. His owner works as a therapist and Koda, being a devoted Akita, is very "monogamous" with petting, wanting all the attention for himself. While he's generally fine with brief greetings from friends, his owner needs to ensure there's zero risk of a dog reacting negatively around clients with PTSD or cancer, which is why he can't accompany her to work. He enjoys nuzzling his owner's chest in the morning and is happy to have friends around as long as the petting is brief.

Ideal Home

Koda would thrive in a home where he can be the sole recipient of attention and affection. Due to his Akita heritage, he is not suited for dog parks or meeting other dogs on walks.
