Hi there, I'm Benson! I'm a 7-year-old fellow with a heart full of love waiting to be shared. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I get to know you, I'm a big softie who loves to cuddle. I had a home before, and I lived with a dachshund, so I'm good with calmer dogs. I also did well with older children. My previous home had young kids, and I was a bit too shy for them, so a home without very young children would be best. My past has some trauma, and I can flinch if hands are raised suddenly or if there are loud noises. It will take a patient and understanding family to help me feel safe and learn to trust again. When I feel secure, I just want to be near you, curled up in your lap. Food is a great motivator for me! I walk nicely on a leash and know basic commands like sit, stay, down, and come. I'm ready to find my furever family!

Ideal Home

A patient and loving home that understands I have some past trauma and can help me build trust. A home without very young children would be ideal, but I can do well with older children and calmer dogs.
