Duke

Duke is a playful and energetic young pup who found himself as a stray and was brought to the local animal shelter. From there, he joined Hands to Paws and lived in a foster home before being adopted by a military family. Unfortunately, their resident older female dog wasn't thrilled with Duke's puppy exuberance, and he was returned to rescue. He's now in a boarding facility and is eagerly awaiting his forever family or a loving foster home!

Ideal Home

Duke is still very much a puppy and has lots of energy to burn! He'd do best in an active home with a family who enjoys going for walks. A tall wire fence or a privacy-fenced yard would be ideal for him to safely run and play.

Ongoing Health

Duke is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

When it comes to mealtime, Duke's past experiences have made him a bit anxious about food. To ensure he feels secure, it's recommended to feed him in his crate and allow him to eat undisturbed. He generally gets along with other dogs at his boarding facility, but occasionally some dogs can get on his nerves.
