Rufus has the kindest eyes and a scruffy face that will melt your heart. This 2-year-old, 15 lb Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mix is a true companion looking for his forever family. He was found abandoned and left to fend for himself, but despite his past, Rufus is incredibly sweet, trusting, and eager to love. He's a "Velcro dog" who thrives on being by your side, whether that's on the couch, following you around the house, or snuggling in your lap. Rufus is affectionate, gentle, and has a happy, easygoing nature. He's great with other dogs and respects their space, but would also be content as an only dog if he receives plenty of human attention. He walks beautifully on a leash, doesn't pull, and is not reactive. Rufus also enjoys car rides and is crate trained. He still has a playful side and is working on house training, which is expected to improve with a consistent routine. Rufus has a moderate energy level, balancing his love for walks and adventures with his enjoyment of cuddles and naps. He will likely need regular grooming to maintain his coat.
