Parker is a quiet, gentle, and easygoing boy who prefers to take his time and settle into the moment. He has a soft presence and a calm, respectful nature that can bring a sense of peace to any home. Parker is estimated to be around 2 years old and weighs 21 lbs. While his breed is a best guess, he appears to be a Portuguese Podengo mix. He truly shines in the company of other dogs, being comfortably fostered in a home with multiple dogs. He offers polite greetings, a quick sniff, and then happily goes about his own business, enjoying being part of the pack without needing to be the center of attention.
Ideal Home
Parker would thrive in a home with other confident, friendly dogs where he can learn and take cues from them. He would also do well in a quieter apartment environment, especially during his initial adjustment period. A house with a yard where he can explore at his own pace would be a bonus.

Parker is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea and heartworm prevention. He has been spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Parker is house-trained and sleeps through the night. While he is shy with new people and takes affection slowly, he allows handling without issue and shows no signs of aggression. He needs a patient and understanding home that will give him space to decompress and adjust at his own pace. He is still building confidence on leash and can find new environments overwhelming, but he handles walks without fuss and will continue to improve with gentle guidance and exposure.

Parker is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. A surcharge of $87 applies for transport.
