Tobby

Sweet Tobby is a 3.5-year-old, 24 lb mix of Chihuahua and terrier who’s ready for a fresh start and a whole lot of love! He was found wandering along a busy highway in Puerto Rico and was thankfully rescued and brought to safety. After a month in a home there, he made the long journey to the DC area and is now eager to find his forever family. Tobby is a charming boy with the shortest legs and the biggest heart, who promises loyal companionship and adoring gazes in return for a safe and loving home.

Ideal Home

Tobby would do best in a home without children. He would also benefit from having a resident dog to help him learn the ropes of his new environment, or a family committed to regular socialization with other dogs through walks, dog parks, or doggy daycare.

Training & Support

Tobby may need a little time to adjust to new people and strange environments, but he is a quick learner and quickly warmed up to his foster family. He has been doing well with leash walking and hasn't had any accidents in the house. He is working on crate training.
