At just 2 years old, this sweet lab mix girl Lola has already overcome so much, yet she remains one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs you could ever meet. Lola was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston alongside her newborn puppies. Even while caring for her babies, she showed nothing but trust and kindness toward everyone around her. Unfortunately, her puppies were taken from her too soon, and Lola found herself at risk of euthanasia. But Lola had quickly become a staff favorite thanks to her calm, loving nature and incredibly easygoing personality, so she found help to get out of the shelter. Her foster family describes her as "the best dog in the universe"— and it’s easy to see why. She is quiet, well-mannered, affectionate, and wonderfully easy to handle. Lola settles beautifully into home life and simply enjoys being near her people. She currently lives with another dog and young toddler children, and she does wonderfully with both. Lola's fosters used to leave her to roam freely with their toddlers and she was best friends with their medium-sized pup. However, they discovered that Lola did not do well with very tiny animals, and she has been in boarding for the last two months. The boarding staff love her and think that she is an extremely smart and obedient pup who needs to be seen by the one person who can change her world. Lola weighs around 45 pounds, making her the perfect medium-sized companion. She has a calm and gentle presence that would fit beautifully into almost any home, whether you are looking for a family dog, a loyal companion, or an easygoing best friend.
Ideal Home
Lola would thrive in a home where she can be near her people. She does well with other dogs and young children, but she needs a home without very tiny animals. Yards MUST be adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups; electric or underground fences are not accepted.
Ongoing Health
Lola is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee includes all vetting, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high-quality nylon Martingale collar, and harness.
