Sherman

Sherman is a handsome, 3-year-old, 95-lb intact male German Shepherd. He's a smart, playful, and energetic boy who is eager to find his forever family. Sherman was living with his elderly owner who became ill, and his current caregivers, Ceari and Nancy, stepped in to help him and another dog. They are now looking for a loving home for Sherman where he can truly thrive.

Ideal Home

Sherman is friendly with people but can be overly enthusiastic and jump. He needs a home prepared for his energy and potential jumping, with clear guidance on greetings. As Sherman has not been around cats, a cat-free home is essential. It's unknown if he is fully housetrained, so his new family should be prepared to work on this. Due to his past, a home where he is not exclusively an outdoor dog would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Sherman is strong and healthy. His vaccination records are currently unavailable, but his caregiver is working to update them. A $400 neuter deposit is required, and the adopter will have 90 days to have him neutered, with the deposit refunded upon proof of the procedure.

Training & Support

Sherman has not had formal obedience training but is a fast learner. He walks well on a leash and knows how to sit on command. His new family should be prepared to provide consistent training and socialization.
