Meet Venus! This sweet and affectionate 5-year-old Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing around 45 lbs, is ready to bring a whole lot of love into your home. Venus is a calm, people-oriented girl who loves to snuggle, resting her head on your lap and gazing at you adoringly. She's happy to match your energy, whether that means relaxing on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure.
Venus enjoys playtime with other dogs and shines during backyard zoomies, happily romping with canine companions. She also loves toys and playing with her humans. This water-loving pup will joyfully splash around in any kiddie pool or stream she encounters. Venus is also a great travel buddy, riding well in the car, making her perfect for road trips, park visits, or trail days.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. She has shown a strong interest in chasing cats, so a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful kids who understand boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Venus is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.
Training & Support
Venus is still working on leash manners and can pull some, but she is learning quickly and is very food motivated.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks, and dogs will be on the next available transport once approved.
