Nala is a sweet, gentle, and well-mannered 6-year-old Rottweiler mix who weighs about 46 pounds. She has an easygoing personality and a heart full of love to give, settling into family life with ease. Nala enjoys spending time with other dogs and has a playful side, but she's also happy to relax. She is respectful and gentle with smaller dogs, reading social cues well. On walks, she is completely non-reactive and has excellent leash manners. Nala is incredibly gentle, patient, and loving with children, and has lived with kids ages 5, 6, and 8. She is fully house-trained and does well in her crate, though she may bark or cry for a few minutes when first crated or left alone, which is expected to improve with a consistent routine. Nala is smart and eager to please, responding beautifully to verbal cues. She loves playing with balls, enjoys car rides, has no trouble with stairs, and greets everyone kindly. She walks beautifully on a harness and rides perfectly in the car, making her an easy dog to have by your side.
Ideal Home
Nala would thrive in a home with a moderate activity level where she can enjoy a daily walk and plenty of time with her people. While she'd likely enjoy having another friendly dog in the home, she doesn't require one.
Ongoing Health
Nala is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She has shown mild separation anxiety when first crated or left alone, but this is expected to improve with time and routine.
Training & Support
Nala knows several commands and is eager to please. Her foster expects her mild separation anxiety to continue improving as she becomes more comfortable in a consistent routine.

Transportation
Nala is currently located in Houston, Texas. Once an adopter is approved, she can be transported to you on the next available transport. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
