Meet Chance, a small adult mixed-breed dog at Giles County Animal Shelter in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Chance may seem worried when people walk past his kennel or reach through the bars. He may growl or ask for space, which is why his kennel has a “Bite Risk” sign. Once the kennel door is open and he has time to feel comfortable, his tension fades, his tail wags, and he leans in for affection.
Chance enjoys playing with other dogs and appears to find comfort in canine companionship. He is learning that new people can be trusted and is looking for someone patient who understands that trust is earned.
Ideal Home
Chance needs a patient adopter who will give him time, space, and thoughtful interactions while he continues building confidence. A home with canine companionship may be a good fit based on his enjoyment of other dogs.
