MONROE

Monroe and her six siblings were rescued from a large hoarding case in Northern Texas in April 2026. They received veterinary care and are now healthy, arriving safely at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, on May 28, 2026. Monroe is a sweet, goofy, and affectionate puppy, estimated to be born on February 2, 2026. She walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides.

Ideal Home

We are seeking an active family who understands the importance of both mental stimulation and physical exercise for an intelligent and energetic girl like Monroe.

Ongoing Health

Monroe has been spayed, is up-to-date on rabies and core vaccines, and is on monthly preventatives. She is microchipped with FiNano and registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. She weighed approximately 20 pounds at the end of May.

Training & Support

While Monroe has access to the outdoors all day and goes outside, she is not yet house-trained. She will need guidance to learn to signal when she needs to go out.

Transporation

Monroe is located in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. We welcome adopters from across the East Coast and Canada, and many families travel to meet and take home their new best friend.
