Meet Gina! Gina is a 1-year-old, 56lb spayed female Belgian Malinois mix with a heart of gold and a playful spirit. She was found abandoned as a tiny puppy, sleeping in a cardboard box by a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina has blossomed in her foster home and is now ready to find her forever family. She loves her doggy friends, especially playing tug-of-war, and enjoys collecting her toys in her bed. Gina is a smart cookie who enjoys a good game of fetch and keeps herself entertained. She is a strong, active girl who will be a wonderful companion for an active household.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She would do best with a family with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) as she can be jumpy when excited and doesn't realize her size. A home with another dog is recommended to keep her company and help burn off her puppy energy. She needs a cat-free home as she is too enthusiastic about neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy young dog.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. As she is in the "puppy velociraptor stage," she will need guidance on appropriate chew toys and redirection. She prefers to eat her treats alone.
