Meet Darby, a spirited seven-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie with a joyful personality, handsome tricolor coat, and a love of tennis-ball fetch. He is affectionate, athletic, and happiest when sharing active adventures with his people.
Ideal Home
Darby needs an active family, couple, or single adult with time and energy for daily exercise, play, and companionship. He is an impressive jumper and requires a securely fenced yard with a six-foot fence. He enjoys living with other dogs and may do well with an active canine companion. His experience with cats and young children is limited, so slow, thoughtful introductions are recommended.
Loud noises, thunderstorms, and fireworks can make Darby anxious. A calm, reassuring caregiver can help him feel secure during those moments.
Ongoing Health
Darby is approximately 49 pounds, microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. Monthly brushing, occasional baths, and dental chews help keep him feeling his best.
Training & Support
Darby is crate trained and house-trained. He knows “sit,” comes when called, and loves returning a tennis ball directly to your hand. He relaxes well when left alone for short periods after getting his daily exercise.
