Arthur is a 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's an outgoing, playful, curious, affectionate companion who enjoys adventures, toys, car rides, and cuddling with his people.
Arthur was found roaming with other dogs before entering a county shelter and is now in a foster home in Houston, Texas. He is a moderate-energy dog who enjoys playtime, exploring, and being included in everyday activities.
Ideal Home
Arthur has successfully interacted with dogs of various sizes and does well reading their social cues. He has also been around cats and pot-bellied pigs without showing aggression; proper introductions and supervision are recommended. He has done well around a young child, though his size and enthusiasm could accidentally knock over a small child during play.
His ideal home will provide regular exercise, structure, and plenty of family time. He does not need another dog to be happy.

Training & Support
Arthur is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He settles nicely in his crate and has stayed crated for longer periods before needing a potty break. He rides beautifully in the car and loves car rides. He may pull at first on walks but settles into the routine and does well.
