Hazel the Heart Melter

Meet Hazel, a sweet-natured Shepherd mix who is ready to melt into your life and become your most loyal companion! This 45-pound cutie is smart, gentle, and highly motivated, living for human connection and that special bond. Hazel is a social butterfly who thrives in a foster home with other dogs and a 4-year-old child. While she can be a little reserved at first, she warms up quickly and becomes everyone's best friend. She enjoys polite greetings with other dogs and prefers running alongside them rather than engaging in rough play. Hazel is already crate trained and would truly thrive in a home with a yard where she can explore.

Ideal Home

Hazel is looking for a home without feline friends, but she does wonderfully with dogs and children. A home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and explore would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Hazel is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her vaccinations. She receives regular flea and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Hazel is crate trained. Her foster family has worked on socialization and basic manners, and she is confident and well-rounded.

Transportation

Hazel is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs.
