About Chewie
Meet Gorgeous Chewie!
At a year and some change old, Chewie may look like a Golden, but he is a 114-pound Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix with the stubbornness to prove it! He's been raised with so much love and knows what it means to be part of a family. Chewie is now looking for a home where he can truly thrive. Like many guardian breeds, Chewie prefers calm energy and thoughtful introductions. He loves playing with his toys and romping around the house. He LOVES the outdoors and would be happiest with room to roam, some cool weather, long walks, adventures, and an adopter who wants a loyal sidekick. He's the kind of dog who wants to be a part of whatever you're doing, whether that's exploring a trail or relaxing in the backyard! Chewie LOVES snow and water! If you have a sprinkler, pool, or live where it snows - bonus points! When Chewie's family is out of town, he spends his time boarding on a farm, where he has done great being around horses. For the right family, Chewie will be an incredibly loyal companion and constant shadow.
Ideal Home
Chewie is not a fit for homes with small children or small dogs. He will do best with a confident handler who understands large breeds and can continue setting him up for success!
