Elysia

Elysia is a beautiful, almost 2-year-old female Mini Australian Shepherd, weighing in at 31 pounds. She's a wonderful balance of playful energy and sweet affection, the kind of dog who loves to explore the world with you and then happily curl up on the couch for some relaxation. True to her Aussie roots, Elysia is smart, curious, and very aware of her surroundings. She enjoys playtime, being silly, and showing off her fun personality, but she also loves giving kisses and settling in close to her people.

Ideal Home

Elysia would thrive with an active family who enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that's on walks, adventures, or playtime together. She can be curious and may show interest or attempt playful chasing with cats, so a home that can provide guidance, management, and slow introductions would be ideal. She may do well with a dog-savvy cat.

Ongoing Health

Elysia comes spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination.

Training & Support

Elysia does well on leash overall, though she may tug a bit when excited or interested in something new; this will improve with consistency and practice. She is mostly housetrained and will do best with a structured routine of regular walks and outings to help her continue building good habits.

Elysia is being fostered in Staten Island. We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a shelter location.
