Nyx- Currently Enrolled in Prison Training Program

Meet Nyx, a beautiful and intelligent Leonberger/Coonhound mix who is about the size of a slender Great Dane. Nyx came to us from a quieter home and, understandably, the shelter environment was a bit overwhelming at first. She's taken some time to warm up, but now that she's settled into our routine, her truly affectionate, goofy, and eager-to-interact personality is shining through with the people she trusts! Her former owner described her as smart, playful, and naturally protective of her home and family.

Ideal Home

Nyx would do best in a home without small children, as she showed discomfort around a young child in her previous home. She would be a wonderful companion for someone familiar with large breeds who is willing to give her a little time to adjust to her new surroundings.

Ongoing Health

Nyx is not yet spayed or vaccinated.

Training & Support

Nyx lived with another dog previously but can be selective with canine companions, so any potential dog siblings will need a proper meet and greet. She is described as smart and playful.
