Ivy is a beautiful 2-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever mix looking for a patient, loving family. She came from a hoarding situation and is still learning that the world is safe, but she is making steady progress through Wayside’s Confidence College program.
Ivy enjoys being outdoors, exploring new scents, rolling in the grass, and playing with toys. She is food motivated and becomes fun and goofy once she feels comfortable. She needs time to adjust to new people, environments, leash walking, and doorways.
Ideal Home
Ivy must go to a home with an already social dog who can help show her the ropes. All resident dogs must meet Ivy before adoption. She also needs a secure fenced yard and a home with children ages 6 and older.
Ongoing Health
No medical conditions or health tests are listed for Ivy.
Training & Support
Ivy is enrolled in Confidence College and has made progress with leash walking. Her adoption includes a free 30-minute private training session. She is food motivated and enjoys playing with toys. For safety, she must go home wearing a martingale collar.
