Jax is a very sweet boy who is learning to trust and love. It's evident he's had a tough past, as he's scared of yelling and loud noises, often tucking his head as if in trouble. However, he's blossoming in his foster home! Once he feels safe and comfortable, Jax is incredibly affectionate, seeking pets and wanting to rest his head on your lap. He enjoys walking right by your side and will actively seek out affection. He's even starting to learn how to play from the other dogs, though he's still unsure of how to initiate play and hasn't yet learned to interact with toys. He doesn't like his crate and will cry when in it, but he doesn't try to escape. He's done well when left alone in the house, with no accidents or chewing. Jax knows how to use a doggy door and is also comfortable on a leash once outside, though he can sometimes be nervous about going through doorways while leashed. He's sure to become a loyal and loving companion with an adopter who can offer him patience and understanding as he adjusts to his new home and routine.
