LULU*

Lulu is a young cutie who came from a home with too many pets and a lack of proper socialization. She’s learning all about trusting people and being brave in the big world, and would love to meet you! Lulu spent some time in a foster home, where she learned that people are nice and give her treats. She especially likes to curl up under a desk and take yummy treats that are handed to her. If the treats stop coming, she will bump her foster's muzzle to say "Hello! I am still here." Lulu is not comfortable being petted, but she is slowly learning to trust. She loves the safety of her crate, going in at night with a treat and being perfectly quiet. Lulu has a playpen area with toys and puzzles and stays in it without issue when left alone. In the evening, she gets the zoomies and loves to run around the yard and into the house, hoping someone will play with her. Lulu rarely barks. She has done well with small dogs and with cats, walks politely on leash, and needs a safe place to land. In the shelter, she shares her kennel with another pup and has been tolerant and curious when meeting other dogs in playgroup.

Ideal Home

Lulu would blossom in a patient home with a medium-energy playful dog. She would love a calm home with a routine to help her gain confidence.

Training & Support

Lulu is learning to walk on a leash and is still working on house training. Riding in a car is unfamiliar to her; she has only traveled inside of a crate, but she does ride quietly.
