Junie is a beautiful 1-year-old mixed breed weighing about 60 lbs of pure love. This sweet girl is spayed, crate trained, and fully house-broken, making her an easy addition to a home ready for a loyal companion. Junie is a sweetheart — gentle, loving, and full of happy energy. She enjoys walks, hikes, and playing fetch, but she’s also perfectly content relaxing at home with her people. A mile walk or 20 minutes of fetch in a fenced yard is enough to make her very happy. Junie has lived successfully with adults, including a couple and later an elderly family member whom she absolutely adored. As the household became busier with visitors and constant activity, Junie became more easily startled and anxious. She does best when she has a quiet space to decompress during busy times and is very comfortable relaxing in a crate or separate room when guests or workers are visiting. She can be somewhat sound sensitive in hectic environments, especially when multiple noises are happening at once, but she continues to make great progress with positive reinforcement and confidence-building exercises. She has lived with another dog and has enjoyed playing with certain dogs, especially calm, friendly dogs with good communication skills. Some dogs make her nervous, so thoughtful introductions are important. One of Junie’s best qualities is her temperament in the home. She is not possessive over food, toys, or bones and happily trades items with her “give” cue.
Ideal Home
Junie would thrive in an adult household that respects her sensitivity and gives her space to relax when life gets busy. She is not the type of dog who would enjoy crowded breweries, busy shopping areas, or constant activity, but in the right environment she is an incredibly loving, loyal companion.
Ongoing Health
Junie is spayed and up-to-date on all vaccinations.
