About Yogi Bear

Yogi might be the loyal, easygoing, and quietly devoted companion you've been searching for! This 5-year-old, 63-pound Lab/Shar-Pei mix has the softest chestnut coat and a sweet, slightly wrinkled face that always seems to be smiling. Yogi has a calm, grounded presence and forms strong bonds with her people, content to simply be near you and keep you company. She's friendly and affectionate once she warms up to new faces, and is incredibly easy to be around, settling into a routine without any fuss.

Ideal Home

Yogi would do well in a house or apartment, as long as she receives regular exercise. She would thrive best in a home with older, respectful children and with someone who appreciates a dog who bonds deeply and wants to be a true part of your world.

Ongoing Health

Yogi is currently heartworm positive and has begun treatment. She will require a committed adopter who can continue her care.

Training & Support

Yogi is fully potty trained and crate trained, settling easily into her crate. She walks well on a leash with only occasional reminders. She is a low-maintenance and adaptable dog. Yogi has a moderate energy level, enjoying daily walks and playtime but is also happy to relax at home. With other dogs, Yogi can be selective, doing best with calmer, easygoing dogs and preferring one-on-one interactions over busy group settings. She can also thrive as an only dog and has done well with cats.
