Wanda is a delightful female Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, approximately 2-3 years old and weighing around 38 lbs. She was found wandering the streets, malnourished and covered in ticks and fleas, but her spirit remains strong! Wanda is incredibly active, playful, social with adults, energetic, and full of love. She gets along well with smaller dogs but would be happiest as the only dog in the home, as she is not social with larger dogs.
Ideal Home
Wanda would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and daily walks. Her ideal family will have experience with the breed, a good understanding of the needs of rescued street animals, and knowledge of dog behavior and training. Patience and tolerance are key, as Wanda is not yet house-trained and is still learning about life as a beloved pet.
Ongoing Health
Wanda has received a comprehensive health protocol, including a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and rabies vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, deworming, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Wanda is not house-trained, and her foster team has been unable to provide dedicated house-training due to the high number of animals they care for. She will need consistent training and patience from her new family to learn this important skill.
