Oreo

Oreo is a charming and resilient one-year-old mystery mix, weighing in at a sturdy 55-60 lbs. He's a unique blend of American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Pit Bull Terrier, with a touch of other breeds, making him truly one-of-a-kind. Oreo had a tough beginning, found abandoned with his siblings, but he's emerged as a social butterfly with a sweet nature. He's a fantastic car companion and a gentleman around people and other dogs. While he enjoys bursts of energy, Oreo is surprisingly low-maintenance, content to relax after a good walk or playtime. He's also a quick learner, seeming to understand indoor etiquette and potty training. Oreo is a big fan of television, especially Clifford the Big Red Dog, and has become a world-class cuddler once he discovered the joys of a couch.

Ideal Home

Oreo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is very sweet-natured. Due to his youthful exuberance and tendency to jump up in greeting, we recommend a home with children ages 10 and up. He hasn't met a cat yet, but we are happy to facilitate a cat test upon request. Oreo has a delightful quirk of dipping his front paws in his water bowl while he drinks, which is sure to bring a smile to your face!

Ongoing Health

Oreo is fully vetted and ready to go! His adoption includes a comprehensive health package to ensure a smooth transition. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has also been recently dewormed and is on consistent monthly prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. Within 10 days of his transport, Oreo will receive a fresh health certificate exam and a fecal exam to ensure he is in excellent condition.

Training & Support

Oreo is a well-behaved boy who already seems to grasp indoor manners and potty training. His main "training need" is simply continued socialization and reinforcement of his good behavior, especially as he gets used to a new home.

Oreo is currently in Oklahoma, but we utilize a dedicated transport service to bring him to his forever home. Upon adoption, he will be available for pickup at one of our convenient stops in the following areas:
