Canel

Meet Canela, an 11-month-old female Pit Bully with a sweet heart, playful spirit, and so much love to give. Her family is facing serious financial and housing hardship and wants nothing more than for her to be safe, loved, and properly cared for. Canela is brown and white, not yet spayed, but up-to-date on her vaccines. She is crate trained and friendly with children, and very excited and affectionate with visitors, though she does jump up for attention. She has lived with other dogs and has no bite history. Canela is a loving, happy, playful girl who is eager for human connection.

Ideal Home

Canela would do best in a stable home with the financial ability to provide food, training, and veterinary care. An adopter who understands young, energetic dogs and has the time, patience, and commitment to training would be ideal. She needs someone who can give her the attention and guidance she needs to grow into her best self.

Ongoing Health

Canela has been seen by a veterinarian and is very underweight despite eating well and having high energy. No illness has been diagnosed, but additional veterinary testing was recommended and could not be pursued due to financial hardship. She will need a home that can provide ongoing veterinary care and monitoring to help her thrive.

Training & Support

Canela is young and energetic and would benefit from consistent training and structure. She does not allow her food or toys to be taken away and should be fed separately.
