Hazel

Hello, I’m Hazel, a playful and sweet American Bulldog mix with a white and tan coat and a big smile! I love to have fun and cuddle with my people. I’m house and crate trained, and I get so excited for walks! I’m a strong girl and can pull hard, so I need an owner who can handle me and teach me some manners.

I’m good with other dogs, especially mellow ones. We don’t know how I feel about cats, but I can be cat-tested if you'd like. I have a lot of energy and love to run around and play with balls. Because of my size, any kids in the home would have to be older (over 10). I also enjoy relaxing and napping in my safe space, my large kennel. I prefer to be indoors with my people and don’t like being outdoors for too long. I can be a bit anxious about being left alone, so I tend to stay close to home and my loved ones.

Ideal Home

I need an owner who can handle a strong, large dog and is committed to continued training. I'm a bit of a homebody and prefer to be inside with my people.

Ongoing Health

I have some digestive issues and require a special diet of lamb and rice.

Training & Support

I need to be crated when unsupervised to prevent chewing. Consistent training and a loving environment will help me feel secure and thrive.

Transporation

I'm currently being fostered in New Kent, VA, but I can be transported to other states for the right home. A transport fee may apply.
