Gizmo is looking for a home!

This handsome little 20lb muscle man is looking for a patient forever family that will give him the time he needs to feel safe and loved. Gizmo absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with confident canine companions to help show him the ropes. Once he trusts you, he is unbelievably loyal, affectionate, and full of kisses. His foster dad is his entire world, and Gizmo's sweet, goofy personality shines bright with the people he knows and loves. His favorite hobbies are running in the yard and keeping a collection of chewies. He's well-mannered in the home, not destructive, and enjoys being close to his people, but due to his past, Gizmo does not show his soft side right away. New people can be scary for him, and his fear often comes out as barking and growling during introductions. What Gizmo needs is someone understanding, patient, and willing to let him decompress at his own pace. Underneath that tough little exterior is a deeply loving dog who just wants to feel safe. If you believe in giving shy dogs the chance they deserve, Gizmo may be your perfect little shadow.

Gizmo has a clean bill of health. He is neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested for heartworm, current on flea and heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Gizmo can be fearful of new people, which may manifest as barking and growling during introductions. He needs patience and understanding to build trust.
