Herbie

Herbie is a 2-year-old, 45lb terrier mix who absolutely adores people. He's a super sweet boy who wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether that's snuggled up on the sofa or following you around the house. Herbie is eager to please and has a great appetite for treats and puzzle toys, making training a breeze!

Ideal Home

Herbie would be happy in a house or apartment, and doesn't require a fenced yard, as long as he gets plenty of walks and human companionship. He thrives on interaction and loves to be involved in whatever you're doing.

Ongoing Health

Herbie is generally healthy, but potential adopters should be aware that he can be quite vocal during car rides. This may not make him the best companion for long road trips.

Training & Support

Herbie is doing well with his leash walking skills and understands how to remain calm when passing people. However, he can be reactive to other dogs on walks and may occasionally jump and bark depending on the situation. He's making progress, but will need continued positive reinforcement and space from other dogs. He is primarily house-trained and will alert you when he needs to go outside. Herbie also does well when left alone for 3-4 hours after he's had a walk and a meal.

Transporation

Herbie is located in Cary, NC. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and conduct home visits to finalize adoptions. Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary, NC.
