A little about them
Freya is a 2.5-year-old, 68-pound Doberman with a sweet, goofy personality and a wonderfully gentle spirit. She loves her people, car rides, walks, adventures, squirrel toys, and quietly relaxing beside her favorite person.
Freya was surrendered when her family had to move abroad for work and could not take her and her siblings. She is ready to become a cherished part of a new family.
Ideal Home
Freya is friendly with men, women, children of all ages, cats, and other dogs. She may be timid when first meeting unfamiliar people or dogs, but she is not aggressive and warms up quickly with patience and reassurance. She enjoys running and playing with canine friends.
An active family who enjoys walking, hiking, biking, running, or outdoor play would be a wonderful match. A securely fenced yard would also be a great fit. Freya experiences storm anxiety and some separation anxiety, so she needs an understanding family who will help her feel secure.
Ongoing Health
Freya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on prevention. She has no known health concerns. A health certificate will be provided before transport.
Training & Support
Freya is house trained, crate trained, food motivated, and walks well on a leash. She sleeps comfortably in her crate at night and stays crated when her family is away. She knows Sit, Down, Come, Crate, Leave It, and House; when told “House,” she comes and sits between your legs. She has a strong squirrel prey drive but responds well to “Leave It” and redirection.
