26Dr. Marty

Marty is an active, sweet, and affectionate Pitty/mix who's about 1.5 years old and weighs around 38 lbs. He loves to play with toys, chase balls, and gets the zoomies! He also enjoys chewing on his toys and his Kong. Marty sleeps through the night in his crate or on a pillow next to it and has never had an accident in the house. He walks well on a leash, though he may pull if he spots a squirrel, cat, or bird. Marty also enjoys car rides and is a bit nervous around new people, but he warms up quickly. He can be a little nervous around other dogs, but with time, we believe he'll be okay with them. Marty loves to be close to his humans and enjoys pets, scratches, and cuddles.

Ideal Home

A home where Marty can play and get plenty of exercise. He is not happy being in a locked crate, so a home that can accommodate this is ideal.

Training & Support

Marty is house-trained and leash-trained. He enjoys chewing, so providing him with appropriate chew toys is recommended. He is working on being comfortable in a crate when it's locked. Introducing him to new dogs should be done gradually and with patience.

Marty is located at our rescue at 4131 S Shingle Rd suite 14, Shingle Springs, CA. He is available for adoption events on Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Transport options are not specified.
