About Bear Buddy Heart

Bear is a handsome, confident, and people-loving guy with a big personality to match his big presence. He's estimated to be just over a year old and weighs about 60 lbs. While we believe he's likely a pittie mix, his breed and age are our best guess as with all rescues. What we do know for sure is that Bear is a dog who is ready to learn and eager to engage. He's treat-motivated, responsive, and is already house and crate trained! Bear loves human interaction, seeks connection easily, and is happy to be part of whatever you're doing, whether he's soaking up attention or just lounging nearby.

Ideal Home

Bear would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his size or playfulness. A dog-savvy, confident cat and slow introductions would be essential if he were to live with a feline friend. He'll thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.

Ongoing Health

Bear is a healthy young dog.

Training & Support

Bear is still in his puppy phase and is experiencing many things for the first time. He'll need continued guidance on leash as he learns to manage his excitement around other dogs, but he responds well to corrections and can settle with clear, consistent handling. While he's social and interested in other dogs, his play style can sometimes be a bit too strong or pushy, though he has shown respect for other dogs once he gets to know them. With proper introductions and the right dog match, he'll be a fun playmate.
