Addie is a 4.5-year-old, spayed female pitbull terrier mix weighing around 45 pounds. She was rescued from a rough neighborhood in Houston, Texas, where she was found with mange and severely underweight. Despite her difficult past, Addie is a sweet and gentle girl who is eager to learn and is loving her new life. She is crate-trained and sleeps well in her kennel. While she's still perfecting her house manners, she's generally well-behaved and has not had issues when trusted to roam.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard where she can roam and play. She would love a male dog sibling to cuddle with, as she enjoys the company of larger male dogs. She also enjoys soft places to rest and is currently in her "Soft Life Era," so plenty of couch space is a must! While she may do well with older, calmer children, introductions to any children should be supervised. We do not have history with cats.
Ongoing Health
Addie is a survivor and has overcome mange and malnutrition. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Addie is crate-trained and is learning to be a house dog, though occasional accidents may occur as she settles into her new routine. She is very food-motivated and will try to eat other dogs' food, so feeding her separately is recommended. She is learning to wait for her meals and is improving daily. Addie prefers calm play and can be timid initially, but once she trusts you, she is overflowing with love. She enjoys walks of 20-30 minutes twice a day.
