Ivan is a 1.5-year-old, 50-pound goofball who is all wiggly enthusiasm, silly charm, and sweet pittie/staffy-mix good looks. He's got giant radar-dish ears that perk up like a deer when he's curious. Ivan loves life and all toys, especially his herding ball which he joyfully body-checks. Fetch is his favorite game, though he may occasionally decide to keep the ball! He also enjoys splashing in water, happily chomping at the hose. Ivan is a sweet, affectionate boy who warms up quickly. He might be a little aloof at first, but once he trusts you, he melts into you for belly rubs and snuggles. He's treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training fun and rewarding.
Ideal Home
Ivan would thrive in a home with a medium-energy female dog who enjoys playing but can also set clear boundaries. He needs a feline-free home, as he views cats as fun sprinting targets. Ivan would be wonderful with older kids who won't get knocked over during his zoomies, and he could learn to give younger children space with time. He will do best in a home with a yard to burn energy, an active adopter, and someone who enjoys training and play with clear boundaries and routine.

Training & Support
Ivan loves other dogs and is a party starter in the play yard, but he's still learning to read social cues. He can get a little too excited with playful dogs but responds well to guidance and taking breaks. He can be a bit much for mellow or insecure dogs. With clear boundaries and consistent positive reinforcement, Ivan will continue to thrive.

Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
