Prince is a handsome and resilient boy who came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. He was sadly facing euthanasia at a high-kill shelter due to space, but we're so glad we could step in and save him! Prince is estimated to be around 2 to 2.5 years old and weighs between 58-64 pounds. He was heartworm positive and had an entropion eye issue that required surgery. Thanks to our incredible shelter vet, Prince is now heartworm-free and his eye has been successfully repaired! He's a real gem who has bounced back beautifully and is ready to find his forever home. Prince is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, crate-trained, and potty-trained. He was noted to hump dogs at the shelter, but since his neuter, he's been a perfect gentleman and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes. He's treat and food motivated but not food aggressive. Prince enjoys car rides and loves his walks, especially in a fenced yard.
Ideal Home
Prince would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can play and explore. He would enjoy a canine companion to share his adventures, but it's not a requirement. He can live with a family with children, a couple, or a single person, as long as he's included in daily activities. He is NOT a good apartment dog. No tie-outs or electric fences will be permitted.
Ongoing Health
Prince is now heartworm-free and his entropion eye surgery was a complete success. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations.
Training & Support
Prince knows commands like "sit," "come," and "heel" for leash walking. He's also gentle when taking treats.
