Lucy

Lucy is a sweet, gentle, well-behaved 8-year-old Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix who weighs about 75 pounds. She enjoys relaxing with her people, playing fetch, riding in the car, going for long hikes, and chasing squirrels. Lucy adores people and is looking for a loving forever home.

Ideal Home

• A fenced yard where Lucy can run and play
• Lucy does well with children, though because of her size, children over 5 are recommended
• She can live as an only dog or with an older, quieter dog after a slow introduction
• A meet and greet is required if another dog is in the home

Ongoing Health

• Lucy has been diagnosed as heartworm positive; her adoption fee includes heartworm treatment through partner veterinarians
• She is spayed and vaccinated

Training & Support

• Lucy is housetrained but will need a refresher during her transition
• She knows some commands and is good on leash when other dogs are not present
• Obedience training is strongly recommended to support her transition and bonding with her new family
