Meet Fauna!

One look at Fauna's precious smile, and you'll understand why everyone who meets her falls in love. Speak softly to her, and she'll reward you with the sweetest little grin-a heartwarming reminder of how much love she has to give.

This 5-year-old, 12-pound Shih Tzu is a gentle soul who spent her life as a breeder dog and is now discovering the joys of being a cherished family member. She is calm, quiet, and wonderfully laid back. In fact, her foster family has never heard her bark.

Fauna loves the company of other dogs and gets along with everyone she meets. Another dog in the home would help her continue to build confidence, but with patience and love, she may also do well as an only dog, but not at this time.

She goes outside to potty and will use a potty pad if needed. Fauna is still learning about leash walking, so a securely fenced yard will help her safely explore her new world.

Although she hasn't spent time around children in foster care, her gentle and easygoing personality suggests she would likely do well with respectful kids.

Fauna isn't asking for much-just a patient family, a soft place to rest, and someone to love. After spending years knowing life as a breeder dog, she is finally getting the chance to experience comfort, kindness, and the security of a forever home. She deserves a family who will show her that the best chapter of her life is still ahead.
