Hi friends, my name is Sarah! As you can see from my photo, I'm a little shy. Humans haven't always been kind to me, so I'm learning how to trust again. I have the desire to be loved, but sometimes I get a little nervous, so I just hide in the back of the pack. It's been hard to find someone that will take a chance on me. I don't know if it's because I'm not as outgoing as the other dogs or if it's just because I get overlooked, but I'd really like to find a forever home!
I'm very sweet, gentle, and well-mannered. I enjoy playing with toys, but the other dogs always take them from me because they're faster and not as shy. Someday I hope I will have a family that will buy me lots of toys of my own! I get along well with other dogs and kids! I've never met a cat though, so I don't know if I'll like them. I never have accidents in the house (unless it's an emergency) and I'm very polite with food. I spend my days at Throw Away Rescue lounging in the sun and watching my dog friends play. I want to learn how to be more outgoing like them, so maybe someone will notice me and take me home! Teri, the rescue lady, thinks my personality would shine brighter if I was an only dog or had just one other sibling! Will you take a chance on me?!
Ideal Home
Sarah would do best as an only dog or with just one other canine sibling. She is good with kids but has no experience with cats.
Ongoing Health
Sarah is house-trained and is polite with food.
Training & Support
Sarah is a little shy and is working on building trust. She enjoys playing with toys but is often outmaneuvered by other dogs. A family that can provide her with her own toys would be wonderful.
