Whos tiny, white, curly, and extra fluffy? Well, that's Oscar for you! Oscar is a sweet 15-pound boy who is learning the ways of the world. We estimate him to be about 3 years old, and his Maltese Chihuahua roots might explain his charming looks. He's a pure lap dog with a heart full of love to give.
Oscar is currently in a loving foster home with seven other small dogs and is having a great time learning about toys, treats, and all things good. He's become quite playful and is gentle, even with his 19-year-old foster sibling, taking corrections well. He enjoys sharing food and playtime with his foster siblings, truly embodying the "sharing is caring" motto! Oscar is a bit of a slow burn when it comes to earning trust, but once he falls for you, he's incredibly loyal and affectionate. He's a trusted free-roamer in the house and loves to snuggle up on the couch or in his cozy dog bed. He'll be your perfect morning coffee buddy or sunset companion.
Ideal Home
Oscar would thrive in a calm and routine-oriented home. He would do best in a home with a yard, as he loves being outdoors. While he hasn't been tested with children, we believe older children who can understand and respect his need to take things slow would be a great fit. He has not been tested with cats, but due to his size, he may be okay with them, though we don't recommend a home with only one cat as he may want to play eventually. We're happy to cat test him upon request.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real-time and receive photo updates.
