Pearl

Pearl is a delightful 1-2 year old, 55.5lb spaniel mix who is as loving as she is obedient. Her foster mom in Texas says she's a perfect dog, and we think whoever adopts her will be incredibly lucky! Pearl gets along wonderfully with humans of all ages, and she adores children, showing respect by not jumping on them. She also enjoys the company of submissive dogs but has made it clear that cats are not her cup of tea. While her exact breed is a mystery, her adorable scruffy coat suggests a mix of spaniel, poodle, or even boxer. Pearl is spayed and is a pro at crate-training, with some house-training in progress.

Ideal Home

Pearl would thrive in a home with a yard where she can really stretch her legs and enjoy some zoomies! She needs a structured environment to help her stay on her best behavior, as she can be a bit of a free spirit when rules aren't clear.

Ongoing Health

Pearl is currently heartworm positive. This is a blood parasite transmitted by mosquitoes, and she will receive completely paid-for treatment from FCAR. Monthly prevention is easily administered.

Training & Support

Pearl is a quick learner and thrives with clear rules and structure. She has been attending professional training sessions and would love to continue her education as she clearly enjoys learning new things.

Pearl is currently fostered in Olney, MD and is available for foster-to-adopt. She is looking for a foster or adopter in DC, MD, or VA, and we adopt to bordering cities of these states.
