Archie

Archie is a special boy with a cute face and so much love to give! He was pulled from a county shelter after being labeled "rescue only" due to his temperament. Archie is friendly with our volunteers until we ask him to do something he doesn't want to do. When he needs to be vaccinated, we do have to sedate him so we can handle him. He doesn't seem to like many men, so a female household will be best for him.

Ideal Home

Archie needs a chihuahua savvy owner who is experienced in working around quirks like his. Due to his temperament, he cannot go into a home with children. We will require a fenced yard for Archie as his new family will not be able to leash or harness him right away.

Ongoing Health

Archie requires sedation for vaccinations due to his temperament.

Training & Support

We expect Archie to be quick to potty train. He is currently in a shelter environment, so while we believe he is house-trained or very close to it, he may have accidents as he adjusts to a new home and schedule. Patience and understanding during this transition period are key.
