Monroe’s story began in the most heartbreaking way—found in a box along the highway with his siblings, abandoned and scared. But despite such a rough start, this sweet 3-year-old terrier mix chose love over fear and trust over heartbreak. Today, Monroe is a gentle, affectionate boy who just wants one thing: a safe place to belong. He’s a devoted little lap dog who loves cuddling close and soaking up every ounce of affection his person has to give. Once he feels secure, his loyalty and love know no bounds.

Ideal Home

Monroe will thrive best in a calm, quiet home where he can relax and feel safe. Older kids are just fine, and he does well with another small dog companion. A secure, fenced yard would be his dream—somewhere he can explore, sunbathe, and enjoy life without worry.

Transporation

This dog is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.
