Vega is a 6-year-old, 70-pound brindle and white Boxer looking for an active and loving forever home. He's an incredibly smart, adventurous, and eager-to-please boy who thrives on play, running, and exploration. Vega is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, making him ready for his new life. His foster mom notes his high drive and potential for dog sports, highlighting his enthusiasm for learning and working.

Ideal Home

Vega needs an owner who can match his energy and provide him with plenty of adventures. He's not a couch potato and requires an active lifestyle. He is dog selective and needs slow introductions to other dogs. Due to his high prey drive, he should not be placed in a home with cats or other small animals. While he does well with children, a home with older kids is recommended due to his size and energetic nature.

Training & Support

Vega can be crate reactive and experiences barrier frustration, but he is making great progress in managing these behaviors. He also needs further training with leash walking, as he tends to pull. Tools like a gentle leader may be beneficial in teaching him to walk more politely.
